About the Faculty
Agriculture is the backbone of India’s economy, employing over 50% of the nation’s workforce and playing a vital role in food production and raw material supply for various industries. The Faculty of Agriculture at Rao Group of Institutions is dedicated to creating a robust research and innovation ecosystem that emphasizes soil and water conservation, sustainability, and environmentally friendly farming practices.
We aim to meet the ever-growing demands for agricultural raw materials while ensuring national food security. A large portion of the population, either directly or indirectly, depends on agriculture, which provides not only food, vegetables, milk, fruits, and spices but also critical raw materials for industries like sugar, cotton, tea, rubber, coffee, and jute.
